Job Overview
Green Flow Nurseries Ltd. is hiring Nursery Labourers to support daily greenhouse and nursery operations in Mission, British Columbia. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with plants, can follow instructions carefully, and takes pride in clean, organized work areas. You will assist with planting, potting, transplanting, soil preparation, watering, pruning support, weeding, and general greenhouse cleaning to help maintain healthy plant production. No previous experience is required as training will be provided, but the job is physically demanding and includes repetitive tasks, so reliability and a strong work ethic are essential.

Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required

Experience

• Will train (nursery/greenhouse, landscaping, farm, or outdoor labour experience is an asset but not required)

Work Setting

• Nursery and greenhouse production environment
• Shift-based work with daily tasks assigned based on crop stage and workload

Key Responsibilities (Tasks)

• Perform greenhouse cleaning and maintain tidy, safe, organized growing areas
• Support propagation work including seed cutting as assigned
• Weed plant beds, pots, and work zones to protect crop quality and plant health
• Assist in pruning trees, shrubs, and plants according to instructions and standards
• Mix and prepare soils and growing media for planting and potting
• Plant bulbs and seeds following schedules and production procedures
• Pot and re-pot plants and ensure correct labeling and careful handling
• Transplant seedlings or rooted cuttings with attention to plant health and root care
• Dig up and wrap rootballs of trees and shrubs for moving, staging, or delivery
• Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens and monitor for basic signs of stress or disease
• Clean work areas and assist with general housekeeping tasks to maintain efficiency

• Frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling
• Ability to work in greenhouse conditions and varying temperatures depending on season
