Job Summary

Animal Care Assistant -No Experience needed

As an Animal Care Assistant for our Toxicology team at the Senneville (QC) site, you will be you will be responsible for the well-being of our laboratory animals.

Your contribution will ensure the health of our animals, as well as the integrity of our pre-clinical studies.

Have you always dreamed of working with animals in a company that participates in drug research to save lives? I have a good news! We are currently looking for a full-time Animal Care Attendant for our Senneville (QC) site.

You don’t need any previous experience because we have an exceptional training team who will teach you everything!

In this role, primary responsibilities include :

  • Cleaning the animal rooms;
  • Cleaning the animal cages;
  • Handling animals.

Key Elements

If you possess the following qualifications, we will train you in the rest :

  • You like to work physically (lifting loads of 20-25 lbs);
  • You are able to follow precises instructions;
  • You like animals.
  • High School Diploma (DES) required – Having an AEP in Animal Care is an asset.

Please note that upon being hired, you will have to undergo an annual tuberculosis test at the expense of the company.

Role Specific Information :

  • Location : 22022 Trans-Canada Highway, Senneville (QC) H9X 1C1
  • Pay : $18.50 per hour with primes of :
  • Evenings : $2.50;
  • Weekend : $2.75;
  • Overtime : Time and a half;
  • Holidays : Double time;
  • Schedule :
  • Full time regular schedules. Mostly days, weekend rotations and holidays with overtime on evening and
  • night when needed;
  • Transportation : We offer a free shuttle service from the Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue train station and John Abbott College to the Senneville site.

If you come by car, we also have free parking.

Career progression : If you are interested in progressing and learning more, we can train you to become an Animal Technician! Of course, that comes with a pay rise.
