Work Setting

• Private family residence in Abbotsford, BC
• Live-in position with optional accommodation provided at no charge

Language Requirements

Education Requirements

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent

Experience

• Previous childcare experience is considered an asset
• Candidates with relevant experience will be given preference

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and provide attentive care for children throughout the day
• Bathe, dress, and feed infants and children according to age-appropriate routines
• Sterilize bottles and prepare formulas for infants
• Prepare and serve nutritious, well-balanced meals and snacks
• Prepare infants and children for rest periods and maintain sleep schedules
• Organize and lead engaging activities, games, and outings to promote physical and social development
• Instruct children in personal hygiene practices and social development skills
• Discipline children according to methods and guidelines requested by parents
• Take children to and from school and attend appointments as needed
• Assist children with homework and educational activities
• Keep accurate records of daily activities, developmental milestones, and health information
• Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment in the home at all times
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties related to childcare
• Travel with the family on trips when required and assist with child supervision
• Assume full responsibility for household management in the absence of parents
