Cornwall Community Hospital (CCH) is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our Mental Health Acute Unit. As an RPN, you will deliver patient-centered care, ensuring safety, equity, and excellence in nursing practices. Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care according to policies, procedures, and standards set by the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) and CCH.
• Deliver safe, ethical, evidence-based, and patient-centered care.
• Collaborate within an interdisciplinary team and actively contribute to patients’ care plans.
• Assist patients in managing clinical conditions, promoting self-care, and navigating care transitions.
• Mentor and support other RPNs, RNs, and students as required.
• Participate in emergency preparedness and ongoing training programs.

Requirements
Mandatory Qualifications:

• Current Certificate of Competence and registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Certification in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention.
• Regular, punctual attendance and commitment to patient safety.

Assets:

• Canadian Nurses Association Certification in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing.
• Current RNAO membership.
• Proficiency in both English and French (oral and written).
