Canadian Rocky Mountain Resorts (CRMR) is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Labourer to join the team at Emerald Lake Lodge. This position requires relocation to Field, BC, a picturesque location 35 minutes west of Lake Louise, AB. Staff housing is available for qualified candidates.

The Maintenance Labourer plays a critical role in maintaining the property, performing repairs, renovations, and ensuring the smooth operation of the lodge.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform building maintenance tasks such as drywall repair, painting, carpentry, tiling, minor plumbing, and electrical repairs.
• Conduct groundskeeping duties, including snow removal, using hand tools and machinery.
• Operate equipment such as snow blowers, front-end loaders, and power tools safely.
• Manage shipping and receiving tasks, including unloading deliveries and handling waste.
• Address guest room maintenance and complaints promptly.
• Conduct routine property and system checks, reporting issues to the maintenance team.
• Safely handle chemicals for maintenance tasks (e.g., hot tubs, sewage plant).
• Drive the guest shuttle when required.
• Maintain an organized and clean workshop while adhering to safety protocols.
• Record daily tasks and participate in safety meetings.
• Follow CRMR Employee Handbook and grooming standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.

Requirements/Experience

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Experience in basic carpentry, drywall repair, and painting.
• Skills in electrical, plumbing, or tiling are an advantage.
• Ability to troubleshoot maintenance problems and perform basic repairs.
• Strong commitment to safety and willingness to learn new skills (e.g., firefighting equipment use, chemical handling).
• Physical ability to lift up to 80 pounds, climb ladders, and work in varying weather conditions.
• Capability to work independently and adapt to flexible schedules.
