Job Overview
Florentina Foods Ltd is hiring a Machine Operator to support food and beverage processing and packaging operations in Orangeville. You will set up, run, and adjust processing and packaging machines, monitor product quality, record production data, and maintain a clean and safe work area. Experience

• 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in food manufacturing, production, or industrial machine operation
• Experience with packaging lines, bagging/boxing equipment, or automated processing equipment is an asset

Work Setting

• Food and beverage processing/packaging facility
• Production line environment with quality, sanitation, and safety standards
• Shift work may be required based on production needs

Key Responsibilities (Tasks)

• Operate machinery to process and package food products (bag, box, or other packaging formats)
• Set up and adjust processing and packaging machines for different products, sizes, and production runs
• Perform corrective machine adjustments to maintain smooth operation and reduce downtime
• Check products for defects and verify conformance to company standards (weight, seal quality, labeling, appearance)
• Monitor equipment performance and product flow; respond quickly to jams, misfeeds, or irregularities
• Inform supervisor of mechanical malfunctions, safety concerns, or product irregularities immediately
• Record production information accurately, including counts, batch/run details, downtime, and rejects
• Maintain a shift log of production and other data for clear handover and traceability
• Clean machines and immediate work areas following sanitation and housekeeping procedures
• Follow food safety practices and company procedures to prevent contamination and maintain product quality
• Support continuous improvement by identifying recurring issues and suggesting practical solutions

• Maintain high attention to detail to ensure packaging accuracy and product integrity
• Follow all workplace health and safety requirements, including safe machine operation and lockout practices when instructed
• Follow food safety and hygiene rules (handwashing, PPE, and sanitation procedures as required by the workplace)

• Ability to perform basic measurements and checks (counts, weights, seal inspection)
• Willingness to train on new machines and product lines as needed
