Wage: $20.00 per hour
Care Aide Job Description : To assist Rick, who has Primary Progressive Aphasia and mild dementia, with his daily care. Tasks include but are not limited to assisting with dressing, daily hygiene reminders, preparing and serving meals, partnering in exercise and social activities, administering vitamins.
To assist Rick in his daily Bresenden Seven Protocol tasks (see below for more detail).
To assist Donna with light house-keeping duties including but not limited to meal prep and service, dishes, laundry, making beds, mopping or sweeping floors as needed.
6-8hours / day (9amto 3-5pm)
5 days a week (flexible with which days of the week, but ideally Monday to Friday)
Duties and Responsibilities : (sample day)
- Make & serve breakfast
- Clean kitchen
- Assist Rick as necessary with morning routine (choose clothes appropriate for the
days activities, prompt for personal hygiene such a brushing teeth, washing face,
applying sunscreen)
- Tidy bathroom after Rick’s morning routine
- Make bed
- Put a load of laundry in the washer / dryer / fold and put away
- Assist Rick with Brain Games (on IPAD)
- Assist Rick with small house projects (ex : gardening)
- Prepare and serve lunch
- Exercise (walk, swim at the beach, badminton)
Assist Rick with Meditation (on IPAD)
