Job Overview
Hawk Constructions Inc is hiring a Construction Site Supervisor to lead day-to-day jobsite operations and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards. In this role, you will coordinate crew activities, manage schedules, support staffing and training, track progress through clear reporting, and ensure materials and equipment are available when needed. This opportunity is ideal for a practical, organized leader who can communicate clearly, solve problems quickly, and maintain a productive work environment while supervising a crew of 5–10 workers.

Languages: English

Education

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate required
  • Construction supervision training, trade certification, or safety tickets are an asset

Experience

  • 1 year to less than 2 years of relevant construction experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities
  • Experience coordinating multiple tasks, workers, and site priorities in a fast-paced environment is an asset

Work Setting

  • Construction sites in and around Edmonton, AB
  • Work may involve residential, commercial, or mixed-scope projects depending on contracts and timelines
  • Schedule may vary based on project deadlines and site requirements

Key Responsibilities (Tasks)

  • Supervise workers and projects to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards
  • Co-ordinate and schedule activities for crew members and assigned subcontractors
  • Lead and instruct individuals on daily tasks, safe work procedures, and performance expectations
  • Prepare production and other reports including daily site logs, labour tracking, progress updates, and incident notes
  • Estimate costs and materials, assist with budgeting, and support project planning decisions
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies; monitor inventory and delivery timelines
  • Recruit and hire workers and carry out related staffing actions as needed for project requirements
  • Train or arrange for training, including onboarding, safety orientation, and task-specific instruction
  • Recommend personnel actions based on performance, attendance, and jobsite requirements
  • Identify issues that may affect schedule, cost, or quality and propose practical solutions
  • Communicate with management and other stakeholders to align site execution with project goals
  • Promote a clean, organized, and professional jobsite culture

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (asset depending on site location)
  • Familiarity with jobsite documentation and reporting
  • Safety certifications such as WHMIS, CSTS, First Aid, or equivalent (asset)
  • Ability to read basic drawings/specifications and interpret scope requirements (asset)
