Job Overview
Care24Inc
 is seeking a caring, reliable Health Care Aide to join its front-line care team in Niagara Falls. In this role, you will support clients with their daily health and comfort needs, working under the direction of nurses and other health professionals. You will provide direct personal care, assist with basic clinical tasks, and help maintain a safe, dignified environment for patients. This opportunity is ideal for individuals who want stable full-time work in health care, enjoy close interaction with patients, and are looking to build long-term experience in the Canadian health system with the support of a professional team.

Key Responsibilities (Tasks)

• Accompany patients on outdoor recreational activities and walks as directed
• Assist with cleaning, sterilizing, setting up, and assembling medical equipment following infection-control protocols
• Take patients’ blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and other basic observations and report changes to nursing staff
• Make beds and maintain patients’ rooms, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and comfort
• Supervise and support patients’ exercise routines as directed by health professionals
• Bathe, dress, and groom patients, maintaining dignity and respecting preferences
• Transport patients safely in wheelchairs or on stretchers within the facility or to designated areas
• Answer call signals promptly and determine patients’ needs, notifying appropriate staff when necessary
• Collect specimens (e.g., urine, stool) according to instructions and established procedures
• Administer basic first aid in emergency situations within your scope and training
• Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families
• Assist with other related care tasks as assigned by supervisors or nurses

• English (spoken and written) required for communication with patients, families, and team members

Education

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate, or
• Equivalent experience

Experience

• Experience as a Health Care Aide, Personal Support Worker, Nursing Assistant, or similar role is an asset
• On-the-job orientation and training will be provided to successful candidates to learn Care24Inc’s policies, procedures, and standards

Additional Assets (Not Mandatory)

• Formal health care aide/PSW training or certification
• Current First Aid and CPR certification
• Previous experience in long-term care, home care, hospital, or clinic settings

Work Setting

• Employer’s/client’s home or health-care-related settings (depending on assignment)
• Direct, face-to-face work with patients requiring varying levels of support
• Collaboration with nurses, other aides, and allied health professionals

• Fast-paced, patient-care environment
• Repetitive tasks involving personal care and routine procedures
• Combination of sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods
• Frequent bending, crouching, kneeling, and assisting with transfers and mobility
• Physically demanding role requiring safe handling and support of patients
• Need for consistent attention to detail in patient care, hygiene, and documentation
• Must be comfortable responding quickly to call signals and urgent situations
