Your Role as a Health Care Aide
Make a meaningful impact on our residents’ daily lives through compassionate, professional care:

Daily Care Responsibilities:
Personal Care Support:

• Bathe, dress, and groom residents with dignity and respect
• Assist with feeding and serve meal trays
• Supply and empty bedpans as needed
• Administer suppositories, colonic irrigations, and enemas as directed

Mobility & Positioning:

• Safely weigh, lift, turn, and position patients
• Transport residents via wheelchair or stretcher
• Assist with walking and mobility exercises
• Ensure proper body mechanics (handling up to 30 lbs/13.5 kg)

Environment & Communication:

• Make beds and maintain clean, comfortable resident rooms
• Answer call signals promptly to determine needs
• Provide emotional support and companionship
• Maintain resident dignity and privacy at all times

Team Collaboration:

• Work closely with nurses and healthcare team
• Report changes in resident conditions
• Participate in care planning
• Support facility activities and programs

What We’re Looking For
Minimum Requirements:

• Education: College, CEGEP, or certificate from a 3-month to 1-year healthcare aide program
• Experience: 1 to 7 months in healthcare (new graduates welcome!)
• Language: English proficiency for patient communication
• Physical Ability: Capable of lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
• Availability: Flexible for morning, day, and evening shifts
