Responsibilities

• Accompany patients on outdoor recreational activities.
• Assist with cleaning, sterilizing, setting up, and assembling medical equipment.
• Perform other duties related to personal care.
• Supply and empty bedpans.
• Monitor and record patients’ blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
• Serve meal trays and assist with feeding.
• Weigh, lift, turn, and position patients.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in patients’ rooms, including making beds.
• Administer suppositories, colonic irrigations, and enemas.
• Maintain inventory of supplies.
• Bathe, dress, and groom patients.
• Respond promptly to call signals and address patients’ needs.
• Collect specimens.
• Administer first aid in emergency situations.

Requirements

• Languages: English.
• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
• Experience: Experience is an asset but not mandatory.

Credentials

• First Aid Certificate.
• CPR Certificate.

Education and Certification Required

• First Aid and CPR certification.
