Job Overview
VV Consulting Group Inc is seeking caring, reliable Home-Care Workers to provide one-on-one support to clients in their homes across Brampton and the surrounding area. You will help seniors or adults with limitations maintain dignity and independence by assisting with personal care, daily living tasks, light housekeeping, and companionship. This role is ideal for someone who genuinely enjoys helping others, is patient and responsible, and wants to build a long-term caregiving career in Canada. No previous formal training is required—motivated candidates will receive on-the-job guidance and support.

Experience

• No prior formal experience required; employer will train
• Any experience as a caregiver, home support worker, nanny, or in customer service or hospitality is an asset

Work Setting

• Work in employer’s/client’s private home
• One-on-one support in a home environment
• May serve more than one client over time, depending on staffing and client needs

Key Responsibilities (Tasks)

• Administer bedside and personal care under the direction of the employer and following care instructions
• Assist clients with bathing, showering, grooming, dressing, and other aspects of personal hygiene
• Assist in regular exercise such as walks, gentle stretching, or other activities recommended by healthcare providers
• Feed or assist in feeding clients, considering any special diets, textures, or swallowing precautions
• Prepare, serve, and sometimes cook nutritious meals and snacks in line with dietary needs and client preferences
• Shop for food and household supplies as requested, following shopping lists and budget guidelines provided by the employer
• Launder clothing and household linens; dry, fold, and store items neatly
• Mend clothing and linens as needed (e.g., sewing buttons, minor repairs)
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties related to the client’s care, such as tidying rooms, washing dishes, wiping surfaces, and keeping commonly used areas clean and safe
• Provide companionship and emotional support through conversation, reading, games, or shared activities
• Provide personal care with respect and sensitivity, always preserving the client’s dignity and privacy
• Observe and report any changes in the client’s physical or emotional condition (e.g., appetite, mobility, mood, confusion) to the employer or supervisor
• Follow all care plans, daily routines, and instructions provided by the family or supervising staff
• Maintain a safe environment by identifying and reducing potential hazards (e.g., clutter, wet floors, unsafe cords)

Additional Requirements / Assets

• Willingness to learn and follow safe lifting and transfer techniques if clients require mobility assistance
• CPR/First Aid certification is an asset (or willingness to obtain)
• Any caregiver, PSW, or health aide course is considered a strong asset but not mandatory

• Criminal record check required (or willingness to obtain before starting employment)
• Respect for confidentiality and professional boundaries is essential

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

• Combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the shift
• Bending, crouching, and occasional kneeling to assist with personal care and housekeeping tasks
• May involve assisting clients with mobility or transfers, requiring physical strength and proper body mechanics
• Repetitive tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and certain care duties
• Physically demanding at times, especially when helping clients move or handling household tasks
• Work under pressure occasionally, particularly when managing multiple tasks or responding to urgent client needs
