Job Title: Forklift Operator/Order Picker
Location: 7885 Howard Avenue, Amherstburg, ON
Shift: Morning, Night, Overnight
Wage: $20.00 per hour

Santerra Stonecraft is seeking a highly qualified forklift operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for loading, unloading, sorting, moving, and storing different products, materials, and raw materials. Additionally, you will be responsible for participating in production and preventive maintenance of equipment, as well as communicating any quality or faulty situations to competent persons. The ideal candidate should possess a valid forklift license, a valid driver’s license and vehicle, and have at least 2 years of forklift experience. Additionally, the candidate should be physically capable of lifting up to 50lbs, able to work as a team or independently, and have good communication skill

Responsibilities:

  • Load, unload, sort, check, move, wrap, package, store and/or pile different products, material, raw material (pallets, skids, plates, blocks, bricks, stone, and pavers)
    Perform yard and plant clean-up and Plant housekeeping. Employee must keeps his work area clean.
  • Participate in production as requested.
  • Participate in preventive maintenance of equipment or products change as requested.
  • Communicates to competent persons any quality, abnormalities or faulty situations in regards to the product, batch, quality, machine, equipment, workplace or other.
  • Work as a team.
  • Wear safety personal protective equipment as required for this position, work safely and observes all safety procedures such as lockout procedure, etc..
  • Learn basic machine function.
  • Performs all other related tasks requested by his superior
    must be available for both day and night shifts and be able to work 42-60 hours per week.

Qualifications:

  • Physically capable of lifting up to 50lbs
  • Ability to work as a team or independently
  • Valid Forklift License
  • Valid driver’s license and vehicle
  • Minimum 2 years Forklift experience
  • Self-motivated, good communicator, dependable
  • Ability to read, understand and prepare shipping document
  • 90-day Probationary Period
  • Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
