As a Fruit Farm Worker, you will work outdoors in all seasons, planting, caring for, and harvesting a wide variety of crops. No previous farm experience is required – we will train reliable workers who are ready to learn.

Requirements

• Basic English
• No education or experience required – full training provided
• Physically fit and able to work in all weather (hot, dusty, sunny, rainy)
• Able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) repeatedly
• Comfortable with repetitive tasks, bending, crouching, kneeling
• Good hand-eye coordination and ability to distinguish colours

Your Daily Responsibilities

• Plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops using proper agricultural techniques
• Apply fertilizers to ensure optimal crop growth and yield
• Apply hoeing techniques between rows for weed control
• Train trees to produce higher quality fruit and increased yields
• Hand harvest vegetables and pick row and orchard crops
• Examine products for quality and market readiness
• Clean and maintain crops throughout growing season
• Cut agricultural crops at proper harvest times
• Divide fresh harvested produce into marketable and non-marketable lots
• Grade vegetables and fruits according to size, shape, color, and volume to maximize market value
• Pack fruits and vegetables properly for transport and sale
• Perform weeding and general crop maintenance
• Harvest crops efficiently and carefully to minimize damage

Physical Demands

• Physically demanding work with repetitive tasks
• Handling heavy loads up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
• Bending, crouching, and kneeling throughout the workday
• Excellent hand-eye coordination required
• Ability to distinguish between colors for grading purposes
• Combination of standing, walking, and manual labor
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
