Job Overview
Bracebridge Compounding Pharmacy is hiring a Pharmacy Assistant to support daily dispensing and compounding operations in a patient-focused community pharmacy setting. This role is ideal for someone who is accurate, organized, and motivated to build a long-term career in pharmacy. You will help ensure prescription information is complete and accurate, enter client data, prepare medications, support compounding, packaging and labelling, and maintain inventory so pharmacists can provide timely, safe care. If you are detail-oriented, respectful of confidentiality, and comfortable working in a regulated healthcare environment, this is an excellent opportunity for stable, full-time employment with LMIA sponsorship available for qualified international candidates.

Languages: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience

  • 1 to less than 7 months of relevant experience (pharmacy assistant, healthcare support, retail pharmacy, medical office, or similar)
  • Employer may provide additional training in compounding procedures and pharmacy workflow

Work Setting

  • Community pharmacy with compounding services
  • Accuracy-driven environment with privacy and documentation standards

Key Responsibilities (Tasks)

  • Ensure the information on prescriptions is accurate, complete, and clearly recorded for pharmacist review
  • Enter client information and prescription details in databases and maintain updated profiles
  • Help pharmacists by preparing workflow steps for dispensing and compounding activities
  • Prepare medications for clients under supervision, following pharmacy procedures and safety standards
  • Compound, package, and label pharmaceutical products according to instructions and established protocols
  • Maintain inventories of medications and pharmaceutical products, including stock rotation and expiry-date checks
  • Organize and maintain inventory areas to support fast, accurate dispensing
  • Assist with receiving orders, unpacking stock, and storing medications appropriately
  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace and follow hygiene and handling procedures to reduce risk of contamination
  • Protect patient privacy and handle all personal health information confidentially

  • Customer service experience in a healthcare setting (asset)
