We are seeking a temporary, part-time Chemical Operator to join ourclient in Niagara Falls. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in the chemical industry and contribute to the success of our operations.

Position : Chemical Operator

Shift : 8 : 00am – 1 : 00pm EST

Salary : $24-$26 per hour

Location : Niagara Falls, Canada

This is a temporary position with the potential for long-term employment. You will be working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with a team of experienced professionals.

• Responsibilities

As a Chemical Operator, you will be responsible for :

• Operating and maintaining chemical blending equipment
• Handling, storing, and transporting chemical materials
• Performing batch operations and sampling plant materials
• Responding to emergencies, including emergency shutdowns
• Completing plant data sheets, environmental reports, inventory sheets, forklift inspection reports, etc.
• Maintaining a high level of quality and housekeeping
• You may also be required to work weekends and holidays based on production needs.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need :

• 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in the chemical industry
• Strong reading, mathematics, and technical skills
• Ability to qualify on various processes and equipment in a dynamic and complex chemical manufacturing environment
• Preferred forklift experience
  Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, forms, and procedures manuals
• Ability to communicate effectively through verbal and written channels
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
