Job Overview
SEKHON & SONS NURSERY INC. is hiring a Nursery Supervisor to manage daily nursery/greenhouse operations and oversee planting, grounds maintenance, and landscape construction work in Pitt Meadows, British Columbia. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who can schedule staff, organize work plans, maintain accurate records, and ensure high standards for plant quality, productivity, and site presentation. You will coordinate crews, order materials and supplies, maintain equipment, estimate labour and material needs, and solve on-site problems quickly and professionally. If you are organized, safety-minded, and experienced supervising nursery or landscape teams, this is an excellent long-term opportunity with LMIA sponsorship available for eligible international candidates.

Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required

Experience

  • 1 year to less than 2 years of relevant experience in nursery operations, greenhouse work, landscaping, grounds maintenance, or similar supervisory roles

Key Responsibilities (Tasks)

  • Supervise nursery and greenhouse workers and coordinate daily task assignments
  • Hire, supervise, and schedule staff; support onboarding and training as needed
  • Schedule work and organize labour to meet daily and seasonal priorities
  • Direct and organize planting of trees, gardens, and lawns, ensuring correct methods and quality results
  • Plan and direct grounds maintenance activities to maintain clean, professional sites
  • Plan, manage, and supervise landscape construction work and ensure tasks are completed to specification
  • Plan and estimate labour and materials for upcoming jobs and daily tasks
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies; track usage and maintain inventory readiness
  • Maintain work records and logs, including labour allocation, completed tasks, and basic project notes
  • Repair and maintain equipment and arrange servicing when required to reduce downtime
  • Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
  • Schedule events, programs, and activities as required by operational needs and customer commitments
  • Communicate progress, priorities, and issues clearly to management and crew members
