4 Brothers Farm and Cannery is looking for hardworking and dedicated Farm Workers to join our team in Surrey, BC. In this role, you will be responsible for various agricultural tasks, including land preparation, crop maintenance, harvesting, and equipment operation. This is a great opportunity for individuals passionate about farming and willing to work in a physically demanding outdoor environment.

Responsibilities

• Clear and collect brush and debris from fields, pens, and other work areas
• Remove wood and stones from fields
• Clean greenhouses
• Level earth to fine grade specifications
• Mix and apply fertilizer
• Fertilize and spray crops
• Harvest crops and prepare them for distribution
• Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
• Provide agricultural crop services such as plowing, irrigating, cultivating, spraying, or harvesting
• Maintain quality control and production records
• Perform general farm duties
• Inspect crops for quality and readiness for the market

Requirements

• Language: English
• Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required
• Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year

• Ability to perform repetitive tasks and physically demanding labor
• Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

Work Environment

• Outdoor Work: Exposure to different weather conditions, including hot, cold, and wet environments

• Fast-Paced: Meeting deadlines for harvesting and maintaining crop schedules
• Use of Machinery: Operating tractors, irrigation systems, and other farm equipment

Skills and Knowledge Needed

• Knowledge of farm operations, crop care, and irrigation systems
• Basic mechanical skills to operate and maintain farm equipment
• Understanding of fertilizer application and pest control techniques
• Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision

Education and Certification Required

• No formal education required
• On-the-job training is provided
• Experience with agricultural work is an asset
