Maple Leaf Foods is seeking a dedicated Farm Supervisor to oversee daily poultry farm operations. The successful candidate will ensure production and quality objectives are met while maintaining compliance with Animal Welfare, Health and Safety, and Biosecurity industry standards. The Opportunity
As a Farm Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising poultry farm activities, maintaining optimal production levels, and ensuring adherence to company policies and industry regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and experience in farm operations.

• Ensure adherence to all breeder and Animal Welfare programs
• Manage and train farm employees, including scheduling and discipline
• Ensure employee safety and compliance with Occupational Health & Safety regulations
• Maintain production levels for 30,000 – 100,000 broiler/breeders
• Enforce company rules, regulations, and policies
• Manage fiscal budgets for farm operations
• Schedule hourly employees effectively
• Follow and update company SOPs
• Input daily SAP production data
• Oversee maintenance programs and capital projects
• Ensure proper training on machinery and equipment for farm employees
• Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing compliance with OHSA, JHSC recommendations, and company safety policies

• Previous farm experience (poultry breeder experience is an asset)
• Leadership experience in farm operations
• Understanding of regulations in a supply-managed industry
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license

• Mechanical aptitude is an asset
• Availability to work weekends and holidays
• On-call availability
• Ability to work independently
• Residency within 25 kilometers of the farm
• Completion of a 3- or 4-year college program (preferred)
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Strong written communication skills
