Job Description
As a Healthcare Assistant, you will:

  • Assist in the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans.
  • Provide support with daily living activities such as dressing, bathing, and toileting.
  • Monitor patient wellbeing and report any unusual occurrences to senior staff.
  • Support patients through practical and emotional interventions, including observation, engagement, and de-escalation.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to care planning.
  • Maintain cleanliness and adhere to infection control policies.
  • Build professional relationships with patients, colleagues, and visitors.

Work Environment for Healthcare Assistants

  • Based at Priory Hospital Ayr Clinic, a secure service for males and females with mental health diagnoses or personality disorders.
  • Rotating shifts: Week 1: Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat, Sun.
    • Week 2: Wed, Thurs.
    • Day shifts: 8 AM–8:15 PM. Night shifts: 8 PM–8:15 AM.
  • Supportive, team-oriented atmosphere.
