Job Overview
Le Soleil Montessori Infant Community LTD. is hiring an experienced Infants’ Daycare Worker to support and lead nurturing, development-focused care for infants and toddlers in our Vancouver program. This role is ideal for an ECE-certified professional who understands infant/toddler development, can build calm routines, and can deliver engaging early learning experiences that support physical, cognitive, emotional, and social growth. You will provide daily care (feeding, diapering, bathing), develop and implement child-care programs, maintain a safe and secure environment aligned with licensing standards, communicate clearly with families, and contribute actively to staff meetings and program improvement. Languages: English

Education

• College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years

Experience

• 3 years to less than 5 years of relevant experience in infant/toddler childcare or early learning programs

Credentials (Required)

• Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
• First Aid Certificate

Key Responsibilities (Tasks)

• Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers and maintain consistent routines for comfort and development
• Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development
• Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children
• Establish clear, age-appropriate guidelines for behaviour and support positive guidance strategies
• Lead and engage children in activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, preparing crafts, and taking children to local points of interest when appropriate
• Synthesize the overall situation of the children and communicate relevant information to parents in a respectful, professional manner
• Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors
• Discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings and contribute to collaborative planning
• Attend staff meetings to review child progress, program needs, and operational priorities
• Maintain strong knowledge of licensing regulations and ensure daily practices comply with required standards
• Order supplies and equipment and maintain organized inventory to support program delivery
• Guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits according to developmental stage
