Wage: $26 hourly (To be negotiated) / 38.75 hours per week

Fisher Wavy is seeking hard-working, self-motivated individuals to join our team as Farm Labourers on Manitoulin Island. This is a full-time Permanent position. If you have a proven track record of safety, reliability, and enjoy outdoor work, we want to hear from you!

Job Duties:

• Build and repair fences and structures, including carpentry work.
• Clear paddocks and tend to livestock, including feeding and moving cattle.
• Maintain farm properties (grass cutting, snow removal).
• Cut, split, and pile firewood.
• Operate heavy equipment for snow removal and material handling.
• Perform pre-operation checks on equipment.
• Assist Great Lakes vessels at the harbor.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Adhere to health and safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Schedule including evenings and weekends as required.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Valid Class G driver’s license required.
• Valid Pleasure Craft Operators Card (PCOC) is considered an asset.
• High school diploma or equivalent is an asset.
• Chainsaw safety, operation, and maintenance certification is an asset.
• Experience operating heavy equipment is considered an asset.
• Physical ability to perform manual labor (lifting up to 50 lbs).
• Experience with livestock and farming equipment (mowers, tractors, loaders) is considered an asset.
• Reliable, dependable, and able to work independently.
