Job Overview
Bassi Enterprises Inc. is hiring General Farm Workers to support daily crop operations in Abbotsford, British Columbia. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys outdoor, hands-on work and can perform physically demanding tasks while following farm safety and crop quality standards. You will assist with field preparation, fertilizing and spraying, harvest support, and general crop services such as plowing, irrigating, cultivating, and equipment operation. Experience is an asset, but we welcome motivated applicants who are reliable, team-oriented, and ready to learn farm procedures and machinery use.

Experience

• Experience is an asset (farm labour, crop production, equipment operation, spraying, irrigation, harvesting)
• On-the-job training may be provided depending on the tasks and equipment assigned

Work Setting

• Outdoor farm and field environment in Abbotsford
• Work hours may vary by season, crop stage, and weather conditions

Key Responsibilities (Tasks)

• Level earth to fine grade specifications to prepare fields and support proper drainage and planting conditions
• Mix fertilizer and prepare materials according to instructions and safe handling procedures
• Fertilize and spray crops following farm directions, safety requirements, and application timing
• Provide agricultural crop services such as plowing, irrigating, cultivating, spraying, and harvesting
• Harvest crops carefully and efficiently, maintaining quality and minimizing damage
• Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment as assigned, including basic checks and routine upkeep
• Perform general farm duties, including assisting with field setup, cleanup, and maintaining organized work areas
• Report equipment issues, crop concerns, or hazards to the supervisor promptly
• Follow farm safety procedures and use required protective equipment when working with machinery or crop treatments

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

• Physically demanding outdoor work in changing weather conditions
• Work under pressure during peak planting/harvest periods and time-sensitive operations
• Ability to handle repetitive tasks and maintain steady productivity
• Ability to work safely around machinery and during spraying/fertilizing activities
