Job Overview
Earl Morris is seeking a dependable and caring Nanny to provide attentive childcare and household support in a non-smoking private home in North York, Ontario. This role is ideal for someone who is patient, trustworthy, and organized, and who can help maintain a safe, healthy environment while keeping children on schedule with school and appointments. You will supervise and care for children, prepare nutritious meals, support emotional well-being, and complete light housekeeping duties, including shopping and caring for clothing and linens. Optional live-in accommodation is available at no charge, but it is not a condition of employment.

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience

• 1 year to less than 2 years of relevant childcare experience (private home, nannying, daycare, babysitting, or similar)

• Work in employer’s/client’s home

Key Responsibilities (Tasks)

• Supervise and care for children, ensuring safety and attentive supervision at all times
• Tend to emotional well-being of children through supportive communication and positive guidance
• Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents, using calm and consistent approaches
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, including tidy child areas and basic safety awareness
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks according to family preferences and any dietary guidance provided
• Take children to and from school and to appointments as required, following agreed schedules
• Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents, following routines and instructions provided
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to keep the home organized and comfortable
• Shop for food and household supplies and help maintain basic household stock levels
• Wash, iron, and press clothing and household linens; keep items organized and cared for properly

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

• Weight handling up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
• Ability to manage multiple household and childcare responsibilities while maintaining calm, consistent supervision
