The General Labourer is responsible for bundling products, packing products into cases, putting cases onto a skid, stripping waste, lifting material, feeding machinery, wrapping, and cleaning the work area.
There is some heavy lifting required for this position.
Shift :
- This is a FULL-TIME, permanent position that will work our 12-hour shift. Some weekend work is required.
- The work schedule is from 6 : 30 am to 6 : 30 pm on a rotating shift. NO evenings, graveyards, or overnight shifts.
Skills and Requirements :
- Legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Able to work alternate weekends.
- Lifting is required. You will repeatedly lift 40-pound boxes, occasionally 50-60-pound boxes.
- Willing to be forklift trained
- Good attention to detail.
- Works well cooperatively with others.
- Physically able to stand for extended periods
- Reasonable English speaking and comprehension.
- We are located in an industrial area, not always easily accessible by public transit, our own transportation is recommended!
- Please ensure you can get to 9999 River Way, in Delta for a 6 : 30 am start, even on weekends.
- Able to work every other weekend.
Compensation :
- $18-$19 per hour starting wage.
- Benefits after three months probation.
