Job Overview
Boem Berry Farms is hiring Greenhouse Labourers to support daily strawberry greenhouse operations in Kingsville, Ontario. This is an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals who want permanent, full-time work with training provided. You will help keep crops healthy and productive by cleaning plants, watering and tending to crops, maintaining greenhouse cleanliness, and reporting any signs of pests or disease. This role is ideal for someone who is reliable, physically capable, and committed to consistent quality work in a fast-paced greenhouse environment.

Key Responsibilities (Tasks)

• Clean the crops by removing debris, damaged plant material, and other elements that affect plant health and fruit quality
• Perform greenhouse cleaning duties, including maintaining clean rows, walkways, workstations, and equipment areas
• Water and tend to plants and greenhouse crops according to farm schedules and instructions
• Report signs of insect activity, disease damage, or plant stress promptly to supervisors for early intervention
• Support harvest activities as needed, helping maintain product quality and reduce fruit damage
• Clean work areas continuously to maintain hygiene, reduce hazards, and support efficient workflow
• Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment as assigned and as trained, including basic checks and safe operation procedures
• Follow farm policies for hygiene, food safety, and workplace safety to protect crops, coworkers, and equipment

Transportation/Travel Information

• Own transportation required (public transportation may be limited in the area)

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

• Fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks
• Physically demanding work requiring consistent movement and stamina
• Standing for extended periods and frequent walking
• Bending, crouching, and kneeling as part of crop care and greenhouse cleaning
• Attention to detail and hand-eye coordination for careful crop handling and observation
• Weight handling up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
