Overview
A Resident Care Aide, also known as a Nurse Aide or Care Assistant, provides basic patient care and services in a hospital or nursing home setting. Their duties include assisting with daily living tasks like bathing, feeding, and measuring vital signs, under the supervision of a registered nurse. They also help with transportation, cleanliness, and organization within the facility.

Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Responsibilities
Tasks
- Supply and empty bed pans
- Take patients’ blood pressure, temperature and pulse
- Serve meal trays and feed patients
- Weigh, lift, turn and position patients
- Make beds and maintain patients’ rooms
- Bathe, dress and groom patients
- Transport patients in wheelchair or stretcher
- Collect specimens
- Administer first aid in emergency situations
- Provide personal care
- Provide companionship
- Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
- Launder clothing and household linens
- Administer bedside and personal care
- Feed or assist in feeding
- Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
