Job Overview
Shaan Zehra Sheerazi is seeking a caring and dependable Nanny to provide attentive in-home childcare in Toronto, Ontario. This role is ideal for someone who is patient, organized, and safety-focused, and who can support children’s routines, hygiene, meals, and emotional well-being while maintaining a healthy home environment. You will supervise and care for children, prepare nutritious meals, plan age-appropriate activities and outings, assist with school and appointment transportation, and complete light housekeeping related to childcare. Optional accommodation is available at no charge on a live-in basis, but it is not a condition of employment. Public transportation is available, and travel expenses may be paid by the employer for job-related travel.

Experience

1 to less than 7 months of relevant childcare experience (private home, nannying, babysitting, daycare support, or similar)
On-the-job orientation will be provided for household routines and expectations

Key Responsibilities (Tasks)

Supervise and care for children, ensuring safety and attentive supervision at all times
Bathe, dress, and feed infants and children and support consistent daily routines
Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks according to family preferences and any dietary guidance provided
Organize activities such as games and outings that support learning, movement, and social development
Tend to emotional well-being of children through supportive communication and positive guidance
Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, encouraging positive habits and respectful behaviour
Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents, using calm and consistent approaches
Take children to and from school and to appointments as required, following agreed schedules
Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, including tidy child spaces and basic safety awareness
Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties related to childcare (tidying toys, cleaning after meals/activities, maintaining child areas)
Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents, following routines and instructions provided
Communicate clearly with parents about daily routines, activities, and any concerns while maintaining professionalism and discretion
