Job Overview
Shaan Zehra Sheerazi is seeking a caring and dependable Nanny to provide attentive in-home childcare in Toronto, Ontario. This role is ideal for someone who is patient, organized, and safety-focused, and who can support children’s routines, hygiene, meals, and emotional well-being while maintaining a healthy home environment. You will supervise and care for children, prepare nutritious meals, plan age-appropriate activities and outings, assist with school and appointment transportation, and complete light housekeeping related to childcare. Optional accommodation is available at no charge on a live-in basis, but it is not a condition of employment. Public transportation is available, and travel expenses may be paid by the employer for job-related travel.

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience
- 1 to less than 7 months of relevant childcare experience (private home, nannying, babysitting, daycare support, or similar)
- On-the-job orientation will be provided for household routines and expectations
Work Setting
- Employer’s home

Key Responsibilities (Tasks)
- Supervise and care for children, ensuring safety and attentive supervision at all times
- Bathe, dress, and feed infants and children and support consistent daily routines
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks according to family preferences and any dietary guidance provided
- Organize activities such as games and outings that support learning, movement, and social development
- Tend to emotional well-being of children through supportive communication and positive guidance
- Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, encouraging positive habits and respectful behaviour
- Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents, using calm and consistent approaches
- Take children to and from school and to appointments as required, following agreed schedules
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, including tidy child spaces and basic safety awareness
- Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties related to childcare (tidying toys, cleaning after meals/activities, maintaining child areas)
- Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents, following routines and instructions provided
- Communicate clearly with parents about daily routines, activities, and any concerns while maintaining professionalism and discretion
