Job Overview
Neethu Panambatta is seeking a caring, dependable Nanny to provide consistent in-home childcare in Edmonton, Alberta. This role is ideal for someone who is patient, organized, and attentive to safety, routines, and children’s emotional well-being. You will supervise and care for children, support hygiene and social development, prepare nutritious meals, help with homework, organize activities and outings, and maintain daily notes for parents. The successful candidate will be trustworthy, respectful of family privacy, and able to assume responsibility for the household in the absence of parents while following the family’s preferred caregiving and discipline methods.

Languages: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Credentials

• CPR Certificate required
• First Aid Certificate required

Experience

• Experience is an asset (nannying, daycare support, babysitting, or other childcare roles)
• Training/orientation will be provided for household routines and expectations

Key Responsibilities (Tasks)

• Supervise and care for children, ensuring safety and attentive supervision at all times
• Assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents, following routines and instructions provided
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks and support healthy eating habits
• Prepare infants and children for rest periods and maintain calm, consistent sleep routines
• Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development and encourage positive habits
• Tend to emotional well-being of children through supportive communication and positive guidance
• Help children with homework and support learning through reading and educational activities
• Organize activities such as games, crafts, outdoor play, and outings appropriate to the child’s age and interests
• Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents, using calm and consistent approaches
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, including tidy child spaces and basic safety awareness
• Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children (meals, naps, activities, behaviour notes)
• Communicate clearly with parents regarding schedules, concerns, and progress while maintaining professionalism and discretion
