Job Overview
Munn Poultry Farm Limited is hiring Poultry Farm Workers to support daily poultry and egg production operations in Whitbourne, Newfoundland and Labrador. This role is ideal for someone who is dependable, safety-minded, and comfortable working in a livestock environment with changing weather and barn conditions. You will feed and tend animals, monitor flock health, maintain clean barns and pens, and support equipment operation and general farm duties to keep production running smoothly. Experience is an asset, but motivated candidates who are willing to learn and work hard are encouraged to apply.

Languages: English

Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required

Experience

  • Experience is an asset (poultry, livestock care, farm labour, barn cleaning, equipment operation)
  • On-the-job training may be provided for farm routines and bio-security procedures

Key Responsibilities (Tasks)

  • Feed and tend animals according to daily schedules and farm procedures
  • Monitor animal health and behaviour and report concerns promptly to the supervisor
  • Clean stables, barns, barnyards, and pens to maintain sanitation and safe working conditions
  • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment as assigned; perform basic checks and report malfunctions
  • Perform general farm duties, including cleanup, organization of work areas, and support during busy periods
  • Follow farm safety, hygiene, and bio-security procedures to reduce disease risk and protect animal welfare
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and handle tools and supplies responsibly

  • Ability to work independently and follow routine tasks consistently
  • Fast-paced environment with repetitive daily duties
  • Physically demanding work with extended standing and walking
  • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking depending on task
  • Frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling
  • Strong attention to detail required for health monitoring and cleanliness standards
