Job Overview
Imran Lateef is seeking a compassionate and dependable Live-in Caregiver to provide daily personal support and companionship to an elderly client and/or a person with physical disabilities in a private home in North York, Ontario. This position is ideal for someone who is patient, respectful, and attentive to dignity, privacy, and safety. You will support personal care routines, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and companionship to help the client remain comfortable and supported at home. Optional accommodation is available at no charge on a live-in basis, offering convenience and stability for the right candidate.

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience

• 1 to less than 7 months of caregiving or related home support experience
• Training will be provided as needed to match the household’s routines and expectations

Work Setting

• Employer’s home in North York, ON
• Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis (live-in arrangement to be discussed and confirmed with the successful candidate)
• Private home environment requiring discretion, professionalism, and respectful communication

Key Responsibilities (Tasks)

• Administer bedside and personal care in a respectful and safe manner
• Assist with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing as needed
• Provide personal care support aligned with the client’s preferences and daily routines
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks, following any dietary preferences or instructions provided by the household
• Provide companionship through conversation and supportive presence to promote emotional well-being
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a safe, tidy living environment, especially in areas used by the client
• Observe and report changes in the client’s comfort, mobility, appetite, or overall condition to the employer as appropriate
• Support safe movement and daily activities by maintaining a calm environment and encouraging appropriate routines

• Criminal record check required
• Strong commitment to privacy, confidentiality, and respectful boundaries in a private household

• Combination of sitting, standing, and walking
• May require bending, reaching, and assisting with routine daily tasks
