Job Overview
Bhau Transportation Ltd. is hiring Truck Driver Helpers to support daily transportation and delivery operations in Vernon, British Columbia. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for dependable individuals who want steady, permanent full-time work in logistics and transportation. No experience is required because we will train you. You will assist drivers with loading and unloading, help move tools and equipment, complete warehouse labour tasks, and support general yard and site duties as assigned. If you are physically fit, flexible with schedules, and ready to learn safe handling practices while working as part of a team, this role is a great place to build long-term experience in the industry.

Work Setting

• Transportation and delivery support environment
• Warehouse and yard labour duties as needed
• Tasks may take place outdoors and in different work areas depending on daily assignments

Key Responsibilities (Tasks)

• Assist trucks and delivery drivers to load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently
• Transport tools and equipment on push or hand cars as directed
• Perform labouring duties in warehouses, including moving, staging, and organizing freight and materials
• Check freight cars for physical damage and cleanliness when assigned
• Provide customer service during deliveries and pickups by communicating respectfully and following company procedures
• Assist railway track maintenance workers to lay, maintain, and repair railway tracks when assigned
• Cut vegetation growth from railway tracks using scythes and mowers when required
• Shovel snow from railway switch boxes during winter conditions when required
• Maintain a clean and safe work area, including proper stacking, housekeeping, and hazard awareness
• Follow safety procedures for lifting, carrying, loading, and working near vehicles and equipment

Security and Safety Requirements

• Driver’s validity licence check required
• Valid driver’s licence required

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

• Physically active role requiring lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, and repetitive movements
• Ability to work outdoors at times in varying weather conditions
• Ability to follow instructions closely and work safely around moving vehicles and equipment
• Strong attention to safety during loading/unloading and while using tools or equipment
