Job Overview
Frozentrowel Finishers is hiring an experienced Contractor-Plasterer to supervise plaster finishing work and manage crew operations on active construction and renovation projects in Calgary. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who understands professional finishing standards, can read drawings, plan labour and material needs, and maintain strong productivity and workmanship on site. You will supervise workers and projects, support apprenticeship development, assist with staffing, complete estimates, and manage ordering and requisitions to keep projects moving safely and on schedule. If you take pride in quality finishes and strong jobsite leadership, this is an excellent opportunity for stable, permanent full-time employment with LMIA support available for eligible international candidates.

Experience

  • 2 years to less than 3 years of relevant plastering/finishing experience, including leadership or lead-hand responsibilities

Work Setting

  • Construction and renovation job sites in Calgary
  • Projects may include interior wall/ceiling plaster finishing and related surface preparation work
  • Fast-paced environment with deadlines and coordination with other trades

Key Responsibilities (Tasks)

  • Supervise workers and projects to ensure quality standards, productivity targets, and deadlines are met
  • Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to confirm scope, sequencing, and finishing requirements
  • Estimate costs and materials, including labour requirements and job-specific supplies
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies and ensure job sites are properly stocked
  • Recruit and hire workers and carry out related staffing actions as needed for project workload
  • Oversee apprenticeship training and support skill development through coaching, demonstrations, and quality checks
  • Coordinate daily activities and assign tasks to ensure consistent workmanship and safe work practices
  • Monitor progress and correct deficiencies promptly to reduce rework and maintain client satisfaction
  • Maintain basic records related to labour, materials, and progress updates as required
