As a Nursing Unit Assistant, you will:

Provide clerical and receptionist support to enhance client care.
Transcribe and process physicians’ orders.
Coordinate client appointments, transportation, and test arrangements.
Maintain and organize client charts and records, handling admissions and discharges.
Perform timekeeping functions and compile statistics.
Answer calls, manage visitor requests, and ensure efficient communication across departments.
Manage inventory, stationery supplies, and filing systems.

Qualifications
Education & Experience:

Grade 12 education.
Completion of a recognized Nursing Unit Clerk program.
One (1) year of recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Skills & Abilities:

Effective verbal and written communication.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Proficiency in keyboarding (minimum 40 w.p.m.).
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Knowledge of medical terminology and computer applications.
Physical ability to perform job duties.
