A private household in Mississauga is seeking a compassionate and dependable Personal Care Provider to support an adult with a disability in their home. This is a full-time, live-out role in a non-smoking environment, focused on one-on-one care. You will assist with personal care, daily living activities, light housekeeping, and companionship, helping the client maintain comfort, dignity, and as much independence as possible. This position is well suited for someone patient, respectful, and committed to high-quality home care.

Your Core Responsibilities
Personal Care and Health Support:

• Administer bedside and personal care with compassion and professionalism
• Assist client with bathing and all aspects of personal hygiene
• Assist with regular exercise activities, including walks and mobility support
• Feed or assist client during mealtimes with patience and care
• Provide comprehensive personal care tailored to individual needs
• Monitor client’s well-being and respond appropriately to changing conditions
• Provide meaningful companionship and emotional support

Household Management:

• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
• Launder clothing and household linens
• Mend clothing and linens as needed
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment
• Ensure all areas are organized and sanitary

Client Focus
You’ll be working with:

• Persons with disabilities requiring specialized, compassionate care

Requirements

• Language: English proficiency required
• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of personal care or related experience

Background Verification

• Criminal record check required (must pass)
• Professional or personal references required

• Physically demanding role requiring stamina and strength
• Bending, crouching, and kneeling throughout the workday
• Combination of sitting, standing, and walking
• Standing for extended periods when necessary
