Responsibilities
- Install interior prefabricated products and commercial appliances
- Demonstrate professionalism in customer service at all times
- Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements
- Repair and service interior prefabricated products and appliances
- Determine layout and installation procedures for optimal placement
- Measure and mark guidelines to be used for installations
- Utilize hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Install commercial kitchen equipment including ovens, refrigerators, freezers, and dishwashers
- Connect electrical components and ensure proper wiring
- Test installed appliances to verify proper operation
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues
- Perform preventive maintenance on commercial appliances
- Ensure installations comply with electrical codes and safety regulations
- Coordinate with clients regarding installation schedules and requirements
- Provide technical guidance and recommendations to customers
- Maintain accurate records of installations and service calls
- Transport equipment and tools to job sites
- Clean and organize work areas upon completion of installations
- Follow all workplace safety protocols and procedures
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
Equipment and Tools Experience
- Hand tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, levels)
- Power tools (drills, saws, grinders)
- Electrical testing equipment (multimeters, voltage testers)
- Measuring and layout tools
- Commercial food service equipment
- Lifting and moving equipment
Credentials (Required/Preferred)
- Valid driver’s license
- Electrical certification or apprenticeship (an asset)
- Gas fitter certification (an asset)
- WHMIS certification
- First Aid and CPR certification (an asset)
- Food equipment installation training (an asset)
