Job Overview
Canada Courier System is hiring a Dispatcher, Mail Service to coordinate daily courier operations from our Mississauga warehouse-based dispatch environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives under pressure, communicates clearly, and can manage multiple moving parts while keeping service levels high. You will monitor driver workloads and locations, authorize delivery routes, track shipments, maintain accurate logs and operational records, and transmit real-time instructions to vehicle operators and crews using dispatching equipment. Languages: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience

• 7 months to less than 1 year of dispatch, logistics, warehouse coordination, courier operations, or related experience
• Experience in delivery service dispatch is a strong asset

Key Responsibilities (Tasks)

• Dispatch personnel according to schedules, service priorities, and work orders
• Monitor personnel workloads and locations to balance routes, maintain productivity, and prevent delays
• Schedule assignments and coordinate activities of vehicle operators, crews, and equipment
• Authorize delivery routes and support efficient routing decisions based on volume, time windows, and operational constraints
• Keep track of shipments and support timely scanning/updates, issue resolution, and delivery follow-up
• Process and transmit information and instructions to coordinate the activities of vehicle operators and crews using dispatching equipment and communication systems
• Maintain work records and logs, ensuring accurate documentation for shift operations
• Maintain vehicle operator work records including hours, assignments, and route documentation
• Record mileage, fuel use, repairs, and other expenses; report irregularities or trends to management
• Support communication between warehouse staff and drivers to ensure parcels are staged, loaded, and dispatched efficiently
• Escalate service exceptions, delivery issues, incidents, or equipment concerns promptly and professionally
• Assist with end-of-shift handovers, ensuring outstanding shipments, route issues, and priorities are clearly communicated
