Job Overview
Jason & Wendy Ibay are seeking a caring and responsible Home Child Care Provider to support children’s daily routines in a private home in Langley, British Columbia. This role is ideal for someone who genuinely enjoys working with children, understands the importance of safety and structure, and can create a calm, positive environment that supports learning and emotional well-being. You will assist with meals, hygiene, rest periods, school transportation, and age-appropriate activities while performing light housekeeping duties related to childcare. Experience is an asset, but we welcome dependable candidates with the right attitude, patience, and willingness to follow parents’ preferred routines and caregiving methods.

Languages: English

Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required

Experience

Experience is an asset (nannying, babysitting, daycare support, or family caregiving)
On-the-job orientation will be provided for household routines and expectations

Key Responsibilities (Tasks)

Supervise and care for children in the home, ensuring safety and attentive supervision at all times
Bathe, dress, and feed infants and children, supporting consistent daily routines
Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks according to family preferences and any dietary guidance
Prepare infants and children for rest periods and maintain a calm, age-appropriate nap/quiet-time routine
Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, including manners and healthy habits
Tend to the emotional well-being of children through supportive communication and positive guidance
Organize activities such as games, crafts, reading, outdoor play, and outings that support learning and development
Take children to and from school and to appointments as required, following agreed schedules
Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children (meals, naps, mood/behaviour notes, minor concerns)
Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents, using calm, consistent approaches
Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, including child-safe practices and tidy play areas
Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties related to childcare (cleaning up after meals, organizing toys, keeping child areas clean)
