Job Overview
Harjinder Kaur Johl is seeking a reliable and compassionate Home Support Worker to provide personal care and daily living support in a private home setting in Surrey, British Columbia. This position focuses on assisting adults and elderly clients with personal hygiene, bedside care, meal preparation, therapeutic diet planning, companionship, and light household duties to maintain a safe, comfortable, and respectful home environment. The ideal candidate is punctual, patient, and trustworthy, with strong communication skills and a commitment to client dignity, privacy, and well-being. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity with LMIA sponsorship available for qualified international candidates.

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience

• 1 year to less than 2 years of relevant home support, caregiving, personal care, or related experience

Credentials

• CPR Certificate required
• First Aid Certificate required

Key Responsibilities (Tasks)

• Administer bedside and personal care in a respectful, privacy-focused manner
• Assist with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene, including grooming and dressing support
• Provide personal care support as needed throughout the day based on established routines
• Plan therapeutic diets and menus as directed and prepare meals aligned with dietary needs and preferences
• Cook and prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks
• Provide companionship and supportive conversation to promote emotional well-being and reduce isolation
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a safe, tidy, and comfortable home environment
• Launder clothing and household linens; fold, store, and keep supplies organized
• Observe and report changes in routine, appetite, mood, mobility, or overall condition to the employer promptly
• Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and respectful boundaries in a private home setting

Security and Safety

• Criminal record check required
• Must follow safe care practices and household safety procedures

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

• Combination of sitting, standing, and walking
• Ability to assist with daily routines and remain attentive during care activities
• Comfortable working independently and completing tasks consistently
