Job Overview
Glyco Drywall is hiring a skilled Carpenter to support construction, renovation, and repair projects in Delta and nearby areas. This role is ideal for a dependable tradesperson who can read drawings, plan accurate layouts, and deliver strong, code-compliant carpentry work from framing through finishing. You will measure and assemble materials, build structural components such as floors, walls, and roof systems, install doors and windows, and complete repairs and renovations across a variety of sites. The right candidate is safety-minded, detail-oriented, and capable of supervising other workers to keep productivity and quality high on the job site.

- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience
- 2 years to less than 3 years of relevant carpentry experience in residential, commercial, or industrial settings
Key Responsibilities (Tasks)
- Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements and confirm measurements
- Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes using measuring tools and proper layout techniques
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
- Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware with strong attention to finish quality
- Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments as assigned
- Supervise other workers when required, providing clear instruction and monitoring workmanship
- Maintain a clean, safe work area and ensure tools and materials are handled and stored properly
- Identify and report structural issues, material defects, or site constraints and propose practical solutions

Additional Assets (Preferred)
- Experience with both framing and finishing carpentry
- Ability to interpret plans and work with minimal supervision
- Valid driverβs license and reliable transportation (asset for travel between sites)
- Own basic hand tools (asset, depending on project requirements)
