Job Overview
Trans-Logic Truck Lines Ltd. is hiring Long Haul Truck Drivers to operate tractor-trailers on extended routes, including flatbed and B-train operations. This role is ideal for a safety-focused driver who is comfortable traveling overnight and for extended periods, including cross-border and international travel depending on dispatch requirements. You will operate as part of a two-person team or convoy when required, handle load securement and tarping, complete thorough vehicle inspections, maintain accurate logs and shipping documentation, and communicate professionally with dispatch and customers. Experience is not required as we will train candidates who meet licensing requirements and demonstrate reliability, strong safety habits, and a willingness to learn. Relocation is available, and relocation costs may be covered by the employer for qualified candidates willing to relocate.

Key Responsibilities (Tasks)
- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials safely and efficiently
- Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy when required by route or load requirements
- Load and unload goods as required and ensure freight is handled safely to prevent damage
- Tarp loads and ensure safety and security of cargo using proper tie-down and securement practices
- Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of vehicle condition
- Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, and cold storage/other equipment as applicable to the load and trailer type
- Perform brake adjustments and basic mechanical checks as required
- Perform emergency roadside repairs when necessary and follow company procedures for breakdowns
- Receive and relay information to central dispatch and provide updates on delays, issues, or route changes
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption accurately
- Follow all safety requirements, traffic laws, and hours-of-service regulations while representing the company professionally
Security and Safety Requirements
- Driver’s validity licence check required
- Driving record check (abstract) required

- Valid driver’s licence required
- Willing to travel overnight
- Willing to travel for extended periods
- Willing to travel cross-border
- Willing to travel internationally (as required by dispatch and route assignments)
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
- Physically demanding tasks including tarping, load securement, and unloading when required
- Handling heavy loads and weight handling up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
- Long periods of sitting while driving
- Ability to work safely in changing weather and road conditions
