Job Overview
Sandmere Construction is hiring a skilled Plumber to support installation and repair work on construction and service projects in Kirkland Lake, Ontario. This role is ideal for a trade-certified plumber who can plan efficient pipe runs, determine correct pipe sizing, and complete clean, leak-free installations that meet code and company standards. You will work on a variety of tasks including rough-ins, fixture connections, joining and bending pipe, and supporting estimates for labour and materials. Education

• College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
• Or equivalent experience

Experience

• 2 years to less than 3 years of relevant plumbing experience (construction, renovation, maintenance, or service)

• Plumber Trade Certification

Key Responsibilities (Tasks)

• Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors
• Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing based on job conditions, drawings, and applicable codes
• Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to required shape and size using proper tools and techniques
• Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment as required
• Estimate costs and materials, including calculating quantities of pipe, fittings, and consumables for assigned tasks
• Maintain quality workmanship and verify alignment, slope, and secure installation to prevent leaks and rework
• Identify issues such as damaged materials, access limitations, or conflicts with other trades and propose practical solutions
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow jobsite safety procedures and PPE requirements
• Communicate progress, material needs, and concerns clearly to supervisors and team members
