Job Overview
Maria Cristillo is seeking a compassionate and dependable Live-in Caregiver to provide daily personal care and home support in a private home setting in North York, Ontario. This role is ideal for someone who is patient, safety-minded, and comfortable supporting regular exercise routines, including assisting a client in water (for example, in a pool) and walking. You will provide bedside and personal care, companionship, meal preparation, and light housekeeping to maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment. Room and board are provided, and training will be offered to ensure you understand household routines and client preferences.

Languages: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience

• Will train (caregiving, home support, or personal care experience is an asset but not required)

Credentials (Required)

• CPR Certificate
• First Aid Certificate

Work Setting

• Employer’s home / work in employer’s or client’s home
• Room and board provided (live-in role)

Key Responsibilities (Tasks)

• Administer bedside and personal care while maintaining privacy, dignity, and comfort
• Provide personal care support, including assistance with hygiene and daily routines as required
• Assist clients in water (i.e., pool) safely and attentively, following clear safety procedures and directions
• Assist in regular exercise such as walking and light movement activities as appropriate
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks according to preferences and any dietary guidance provided
• Provide companionship, supportive conversation, and emotional reassurance
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a tidy, hazard-free home environment
• Observe and report changes in routine, comfort, appetite, mobility, or overall well-being to the employer promptly
• Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries in a private home setting
