Job Overview
Aliya & Ali Family is seeking a caring and dependable Home Child Care Provider to support a busy household in Edmonton, Alberta, with a focus on caring for school-age twins (6–12 years). This role is ideal for someone who is organized, patient, and confident managing routines for two children while maintaining a safe, healthy, and structured home environment. You will supervise daily activities, support school routines and homework, prepare nutritious meals, assist with hygiene and emotional well-being, and complete light housekeeping and laundry duties. You may also travel with the family on trips to assist with child supervision and household support. Optional accommodation is available at no charge on a live-in basis, but it is not a condition of employment.

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience
- 7 months to less than 1 year of relevant childcare experience (private home, nannying, daycare support, after-school care, or similar)
Credentials (Required)
- CPR Certificate
- First Aid Certificate
Work Setting
- Employer’s home / work in employer’s or client’s home

Key Responsibilities (Tasks)
- Supervise and care for children, ensuring safety and attentive supervision at all times
- Take children to and from school and to appointments as required, following agreed schedules
- Help children with homework and support positive learning routines and school readiness
- Organize activities such as games and outings that support healthy development, movement, and social skills
- Tend to emotional well-being of children through supportive communication and positive guidance
- Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development and encourage independence and good habits
- Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents, using calm and consistent approaches
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks; cook as needed based on family preferences and instructions
- Prepare children for rest periods and support calm routines after school and during evenings
- Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children (schedule notes, meals, concerns)
- Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to keep child areas and common spaces safe and tidy
- Wash, iron, and press clothing and household linens as needed and keep items organized
- Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties when required
- Assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents, following routines and instructions provided
