Job Overview
Marian Joyce Serrano is seeking a responsible, caring, and organized Child Care Provider to deliver consistent, high-quality childcare in a private home setting in Brampton, Ontario. This role is ideal for someone who truly enjoys working with children, understands age-appropriate routines and boundaries, and can create a safe, positive home environment. You will support children’s daily care, hygiene, meals, learning, and activities, while also helping with light household tasks related to the children. The successful candidate will be patient, attentive, and reliable, with strong communication skills and the ability to follow parents’ preferred caregiving and discipline methods.

- Or equivalent experience

- 1 year to less than 2 years of relevant childcare experience (private home, daycare, nannying, babysitting, or similar)

Key Responsibilities (Tasks)
- Supervise and care for children in the home, ensuring safety and well-being at all times
- Bathe, dress, and feed infants and children and support age-appropriate routines
- Prepare, cook, and serve nutritious meals and snacks; plan therapeutic diets and menus when required by parents
- Instruct children in personal hygiene, manners, and social development
- Help children with homework and support learning through reading, educational play, and structured activities
- Organize activities such as games, crafts, outdoor play, and outings appropriate to the child’s age and interests
- Take children to and from school and to appointments as required
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, including tidying play areas and ensuring child-safe conditions
- Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children (meals, naps, behaviour notes, medications when applicable)
- Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents, using calm and consistent guidance
- Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties related to childcare (cleaning up after meals, tidying toys, maintaining child areas)
- Launder clothing and household linens as needed, including children’s laundry
- Mend clothing and linens when required (minor repairs)
- Provide personal care and comfort support as needed during illness or recovery, following family instructions
- Administer medications only as directed by the parents/guardians and according to provided instructions
- Assist with regular exercise such as walking and active play to support healthy routines
- Communicate clearly with parents regarding schedules, concerns, and progress while maintaining professionalism and discretion

- Ability to manage multiple tasks (childcare, meals, records, and light housekeeping) while staying calm and organized
- Flexibility for weekend work and overtime when needed by the family
