Compass Group is seeking dedicated and reliable Food Packers and Food Service Workers to join our team at the Milton Cook Chill (CCFPC), a HACCP Certified Food Production Center. This facility produces meals daily in a cold refrigerated environment and operates independently from the Maplehurst Correctional Facility, with no interaction or access to inmates for Compass associates.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble hot and cold food items
• Perform prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables
• Carry food items, pans, and trays to and from workstations, stoves, and refrigerators
• Store food according to food safety regulations, including wrapping, dating, and rotating procedures
• Perform general cleaning duties, including trash removal
• Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment
• Follow approved food recipes and production standards for proper portion control and quality
• Ensure compliance with all sanitation and safety regulations
• Serve customers in a friendly and efficient manner

Qualifications

• Strong time management and organizational skills to handle heavy workloads
• Ability to work both independently and within a team setting
• Good command of English, both verbal and written, to follow instructions
• Previous food service experience in healthcare, hospitality, restaurants, or fast food is an asset
• Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting and carrying food trays
