Responsibilities

• Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers.
• Develop and implement programs promoting physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.
• Engage children through storytelling, art, music, and physical activity.
• Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers.
• Guide children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
• Observe children for signs of learning or behavioral challenges and prepare reports.
• Establish collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers.
• Plan and maintain a safe and secure environment for children.
• Organize activities for school-age children before and after school hours.
• Supervise and coordinate activities of early childhood educator assistants.

Requirements

• Languages: English
• Education: College, CEGEP, or diploma program (1-2 years)
• Experience: Experience an asset

• Member of the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE)
