Jacques Juneau is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Aide to provide essential care and support to clients in a home setting. The ideal candidate will assist with daily living activities, personal hygiene, and medical support while ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for clients.
Responsibilities:
- Accompany patients on outdoor recreational activities
- Assist with cleaning, sterilizing, setting up, and assembling medical equipment
- Perform other duties related to patient care and comfort
- Perform other duties related to personal care
- Supply and empty bedpans
- Take patients’ blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Serve meal trays and feed patients
- Weigh, lift, turn, and position patients
- Make beds and maintain patients’ rooms
- Supervise patients’ exercise routines
- Administer suppositories, colonic irrigations, and enemas
- Maintain inventory of supplies
- Bathe, dress, and groom patients
- Transport patients in wheelchairs or stretchers
- Collect specimens
- Administer first aid in emergency situations
- Shave and trim beards and mustaches
Requirements:
- Languages: English
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: 1 to less than 7 months
Work Setting:
- Work in employer’s/client’s home
Credentials:
- First Aid Certificate
- CPR Certificate
