Job Overview
The Bergmann Family is seeking a compassionate and dependable Home Health Care Worker to provide daily personal care and home support for an adult male client in a non-smoking private home in Mississauga, Ontario. This role is ideal for someone who is patient, organized, and committed to dignity-first care. You will assist with personal hygiene, bedside care, light exercise such as walking, nutritious meal preparation, companionship, light housekeeping, and minor mending of clothing and linens. Optional accommodation is available at no charge on a live-in basis, but it is not a condition of employment.

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience

• Experience is an asset (home care, personal support, companion care, or similar)
• Training/orientation may be provided for household routines and client preferences

Key Responsibilities (Tasks)

• Administer bedside and personal care while maintaining privacy, dignity, and comfort
• Assist with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene, including grooming and dressing support
• Assist in regular exercise such as walking and basic mobility routines as appropriate
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks according to preferences and any dietary guidance provided
• Provide companionship, supportive conversation, and emotional reassurance
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a safe, tidy, and comfortable home environment
• Mend clothing and linens when needed (minor repairs)
• Observe and report changes in routine, appetite, mobility, mood, or overall well-being to the employer promptly
• Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries in a private home setting

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

• Weight handling up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
• Combination of sitting, standing, and walking
