Job Overview
Frozentrowel Finishers is hiring an experienced Contractor-Plasterer to supervise plaster finishing work and manage crew operations on active construction projects in Calgary. This role is ideal for a skilled plasterer with leadership ability who can read drawings, plan labour and materials, oversee apprenticeship development, and maintain high workmanship standards. You will coordinate projects from preparation through completion, support hiring and training, manage ordering and requisitions, and ensure work is delivered efficiently and professionally. If you are organized, reliable, and ready to lead a team while producing quality finishes, this is a strong opportunity for permanent full-time employment with LMIA sponsorship available for eligible international candidates.

Experience
- 2 years to less than 3 years of relevant plastering/finishing experience, including leadership or lead-hand responsibilities
Work Setting
- Construction and renovation environments in Calgary
- Projects may vary by scope and timeline, requiring organized planning and consistent quality control
Key Responsibilities (Tasks)
- Supervise workers and projects to ensure quality standards, productivity targets, and deadlines are met
- Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to plan work scope, sequencing, and required materials
- Estimate costs and materials, including labour requirements and job-specific plaster/finishing supplies
- Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies and ensure job sites are properly stocked
- Recruit and hire workers and carry out related staffing actions as needed for project workload
- Oversee apprenticeship training and support skill development through coaching and on-the-job guidance
- Coordinate daily activities and provide clear instructions to ensure consistent workmanship and safe work practices
- Monitor progress and correct deficiencies promptly to reduce rework and maintain client satisfaction
- Maintain basic records related to labour, materials, and progress updates as required
